R3 Lamb and Calf Day is coming for 2016

Its the second week of the New Zealand School holidays - and we've some huge events coming up Term Four - first week back on Thursday we have our biggest day of the School year, our annual Calf and Lamb Day. We have students who have been raising Lambs and Calves for this event and the judging competition. This video below, created by Mr Bloor is the highlights from 2014 and shows our Lamb and Calf Day that year.

Blogging Posts about Cross Country

If you were unable to attend the 2016 Auroa School Cross Country or the next stage, the Mountain To Surf (MT SPA) Cross Country, preparation for the South Taranaki Finals in Hawera, then these posts can fill you in with what it was like to be there. Auroa Primary School student Blogs

At Auroa Primary School we are very lucky to have some fantastic classroom and student blogs.  You can follow the links to the classrooms and student blogs through some of our widgets.   One blog that is just started is from Sophie who is from Room Four - she has only ever posted twice but has already had an audience from around the world for her writing.  You can click to the link on her blog here.

Jadyens Farming Blog

Some of our students have been hard at work during the holidays - School in New Zealand is on our break between Term 1 and Term 2 and our students will be returning to School on Monday 2nd May to start the new school term.

Jayden has been busy publishing work on his entry for the 2016 MOA Kluster Blog - related to farming.  He's been producing some interesting work - this video is a series of images, some of which have been time lapsed that focus on a milking session at his families cow shed -

School Holiday Postings: Madaline and Lexi

It is the School holidays here in New Zealand, currently we are half way through the break between Term One and Term Two.  Our students will be returning to school the Monday after next on Monday 2nd May.

Jorja's Student Blog

Thank you for your visit. It is the holidays in New Zealand and our students are currently in the middle of their summer break.  We will be returning to school as of the 1st of February.  It might be the holidays but a number of students continue to post on their student blogs.  One of those students is Jorja who was in Room Three in 2015.

Some significant milestones

We're very happy this week to have achieved one particular milestone and have a second just a few days away.  This month this page had its highest viewing figures of a single month in its nearly two years of existence, when following the success of Survivor: Taranaki, the class page achieved 8k visitors in a single month and repeated broke the 400 pageviews a day mark.

Secondly and more important we wait with baited breath for Caro, nominated for a MOA Kluster Award and student blogger to pass the 13.4k pageview mark making her the most popular individual Auroa Primary School Blogger of All Time! Caro makes it to 10,000 page views!

We were very excited at the end of last week because Caro from Room Three, who has been blogging for one and half years just had her 10,000 page view on her student blog. We are very excited for her achieving this fantastic feat and we look forward to seeing how she goes for the remainder of the year and what figures that she can achieve. Senior Blog Posts of the Week at Auroa Primary School

We had two Senior Blogs of the Week at Auroa Primary School for Week Four - we had some amazing postings that we couldn't decide on - however we selected two blogs, both of which have featured here. Outstanding Student Blogging: Caro's Creative Creations

We're fast approaching the point where a student from Room Three, Auroa Primary School is going to pass the 'magic' 10k page views mark for their student blog.   At this stage there's one student whose producing fantastic work that is varied and of a wonderful quality.  It might be the holidays for the Northern Hemisphere students but we've had some significant visitors to our student sites.  Recently Caro had a dance exam and she posted about it.  If you haven't seen this fantastic quality post then you can click on this link and visit her wonderful blog to read all about it!

APS Senior Blog Post of the Week: Caro

We've had another winner for Auroa Primary School from Room Three - and you have to check out this amazing post.  Caro from Room Three has been doing a fantastic job with her blogging this year and she's being publishing recently some of her own work that has been of an extremely high standard.

Her 'The Farming Lifestyle' video is a overview of a major event that is occurring in our area at the moment - calving.    She's taken a series of photos and video that details what is occurring on her families farm at the moment - if you haven't visited her page (and she's about to pass the 8k page view marks!) and seen her video you really need to do so by clicking on the link here.

APS School Holiday Student Blogging!

While its the second week of the New Zealand School Holidays between Term Two and Three that hasn't stopped nearly half of Room Three's students blogging in the holidays.  You can see the full list of posts on the right hand side of the tool bar, but there are some amazing posts that we wanted to highlight.
