Some Amazing Room Three Student Posts...

Some of the students from Room Three have made a fantastic start to their blogging.  Its impossible to Highlight everyone in the classroom but there are some wonderful examples that are available for you to have a look at.

Mackenna created an iMovie about her Dog and has asked some wonderful questions about Pets that can be located by clicking on the link here.   The 2015 MOA KLUSTER awards might be later in the year but already Jorja has been taking some fantastic Photographs from her Farm.  You can see some of the wonderful videos that Jayden has been creating using iMovie about some of exciting things happening on his farm.  Zariah posted about her weekend - a great recount about her time at Dawson Falls.   Abby has also been creating some wonderful work and publishing it online.

Kyah's Triathlon Recount

WALT: We are learning to write a recount about the School Triathlon.

Taking a glimpse to my left, a line of nervous statues stand on the starting line, ready to go.

My heart was pounding, full pressure.   My nerves were uncontrollable, butterflies race inside of me, then I heard a bang! go! Tension gathered in my body Auroa School Intermediate Triathlon had come to a speedy start.   Running at high speed my opponents follow near behind but I am in the lead.  A flag stands at the last corner of the 750m run.  Bethany roams behind me greedy for victory.  I was bulleting  towards but just was not enough Bethany passed. "there is still the bike and swim my luck hasn't faded just yet I thought".

Zooming down from the run I was exhausted and speechless.  Mum stood at my bike smiling, I hurry up buckling my helmet and off and away I went "4k bike here I come" stepping and pushing my pedals as fast as possible my enemy is up ahead.  Speaking to myself come on you can do this turn your second into first.

She is a metre ahead, racing my pedals as fast as a lightning bolt.   I have achieved my goal by passing but I can not go getting my hopes up now there is still the pressuring swim.

"Splash" I am ready to start my long distance 50 metre swim there and back.   Stroking a stroke my breath was low still pushing myself as hard as possible.  "I can do this whispering to myself.

My breath has come but I am out of the sparkling, gleaming clear water and now Bethany takes a shot in the pool.

At the end of the day I was proud of my lead but I wasn't the only  person that worked hard.

Recount Writing: Kaponga Soccer by Alex

It was a nice sunny day to play soccer. It was the day that we had to go to Kaponga to play for the Y7/8 (11 year old to 13 year old) Soccer Tournament for Schools for our local area. We had to get into the car to go to Kaponga School.

We hopped out of the car then we practised for a few minutes but I sprained my ankle when I tried to slide tackle the ball. So I had to sit down and rest and wait for the team to practise.

The first game was coming up and I couldn't play in it because my ankle was still sore. I tried to run but it was still sore and I couldn't. I tried running on the spot and I got to play in the third to last game.

I got up and started to defend the goal and I got to play three games before my ankle started to play up again, so I went off in my last game and rested again. At the end of the day we lost all of our games. Everyone in Room One is writing recounts for the end of the year, this is by Alex from Room One who was part of one of the two Soccer teams that Auroa Primary School put in the Y7/8 Mount Spa cluster competition.

APS - Triathlon 2014

APS Triathlon Pool 2014 on PhotoPeach

Each of our students have their own individual student blogs which are listed on the right hand side.  We've written recounts from the School Triathlon which took place on Friday.  This recount was written by Dayna from Room One.  You can visit her page by clicking on the link here.

AUROA SCHOOL TRIATHLON On your mark get set go!!!!! Mr Chitterden yelled as his lungs probably burst. It was hot so I had to kept my pace all the way. Two laps around the school field was too much for me because it was so hot i think the sun would melt away. My dad was yelling his head off. When I got to my bike I chucked my helmet on and ran to Mrs Cocker. I was puffed so that didn't make it any easier to bike It took forever to bike felt like an hour or so. It started to rain that made me fell better it was nice and cold on my legs on the way back I zoomed downhill wwwwweeeeeee to Mrs Ericson. To do my five lengths of the school pool i swam like I never swam before mmmmm after i had an ice block. That triathlon was fun. It was great for fitness.
