Auroa Primary Schools 125th Jubilee

This coming weekend its the 125th Jubilee of Auroa Primary School. Our students have been busy preparing for this special event which includes a parade on Saturday and a special dinner on Saturday night. On Friday we are having a ceremony at the cenotaph outside of our school where the students are going to lay a poppy. For the dinner on Saturday night our students are producing an A3 placemat for the people who are attending to have their dinner on. The parade starts at 10:30am on Saturday morning.

Calf And Lamb Day WALT: I am writing a recount about Calf And Lamb Day - 16/10/15 On Thursday the 15th Auroa School had a fundraiser when it was Calf and Lamb Day most of Auroa School and Community. At first I went to the community hall and brought some sherbet. Then I got a couple bags of fudge for my nan and my Aunty.then I got some tickets for games and more. Then we started to pat a couple lambs and calfs I went with Astin and Finn,And had to help out Astin take his lamb cause his lamb is really lazy. Then just before we left I went to classes to have a look at there masterpieces and who won I won nothing but I did have fun making my masterpieces.

Junior School Art Discovery Time 23/5/14

On Fridays the Junior School at Auroa Primary School, Rooms 8,7 and 6 have been holding each week a discovery time, assisted by the classroom teachers and some senior students from Room One.  This Frida the focus was Art.  Alex from Room One took these pictures to record what was happening.

Auroa Primary School Discovery Time 9/5/14

Every Friday the junior school students at Auroa Primary School are able to take part in discovery time which is a series of activities that they are able to choose related to a theme.  The students are assisted by the teachers from Rooms 8, 7 and 6 as well as Teacher Aides and senior students from Room One.  Last Fridays theme was Mothers Day, and students were preparing creations and gifts for their Mothers.    You can read about these also on Izzys blog here.
