MOA Awards: Is this Jorja's Competition Entry?

The end of the School Term for Term Three, 2015, might still be five weeks away, however the date has some important significance because its also the closing date for entries for the MOA Awards for 2015.  This is a hugely significant event for Auroa Primary School and the Schools in the MOA Kluster, including Matapu, Opunake and Kaponga Schools as we are looking to recognise digital excellence in our area.  Our students have been looking for entries in the digital images category and are having to make a tough decision because they are allowed to put forward one entry each.  Our students have been publishing these images on their blogs - this photo is a potential entry from Jorja from Room Three - she's also looking to increase her page views having targeted getting to 10,000 before the end of the year.

For those of you who were able to attend the event at the Opunake Events Centre - this video created by Sonic Vision Studios and Mr Bloor, will bring back some fantastic memories.   For those of you who missed the opportunity the event this year will be a fantastic experience!

Drive in Movie Night 2015

On Friday night at Auroa Primary School we held a special event that was eagerly awaited - Drive in Movie Night! We had a massive screen brought into the school on the back of a Sanfords Truck.  We had a massive projector organised and families were able to bring a vehicle onto our school field and watch a selection of movies - as advertised in our awesome trailers there were a mixture of student work and some amazing productions from the fantastic Mr Bloor, who works at our school.   We had well over 50 cars present on site with families who brought all sorts of cars, utes, vans and trucks to school to watch - some families even brought their own couches on top of their vehicles!

School Production 2014: Highlights

The year is over for Auroa School and we'll be seeing you all back again in 2015 for the start of the new school year in January. Our year finished with a culmination of the terms efforts with the students School Production. Mr Bloor, Auroa Primary Schools Amazing Audio Visual Genius has created a DVD of the concert which you can order through our school website. This video is the highlights of the show.

MOA Awards 2014: Sonic Studios Highlights

On November 11th there was a special event for the Schools that comprise the MOA Cluster - thats Matapu, Opunake and Auroa Primary School. A special awards ceremony was held at the Opunake Events Centre to recognise Digital Excellence from our Schools. Mr Bloor produced the following highlights video of the evening. He always does an incredible job with his work and yet again this is another amazing example of his fantastic work. Emily, Kaiah and Room One were all recognised for their fantastic work during the year.
