Auroa Primary School Scotland Brainstorm
Today students returned from our end of term one break. As part of our learning this term we were looking at schools, classrooms and students who have contacted us during our break. One of our collaborations is with the students from Scotland. As part of that collaboration we decided to brainstorm what we knew about Scotland. Our students were placed in groups, collaborated with each other to check their information and then came up with this. How accurate is it? Do you know additional information about Scotland? Is there anything on the list that is not correct?

Auroa Primary School - Our Playground 2014
Auroa Playground 2014 - slideshows
Today we had our first day in class as Room One. One of our first tasks was for a collaboration that we are going to be working on with Nexus International School in Singapore. We're starting by comparing playgrounds between ourselves and them. We are also doing something similar with a new blog that we have discovered Tipperary Station Blog a School on a 63,000 cattle farm in Australia.
The photographs were taken by a variety of Room One students in under ten minutes!
What can you recognise from the photographs? What areas are similar at your own school? How is your playground different to some of the areas at Auroa Primary School? Is there anything that you think we could need? Do you have any questions?

Packages from Auroa School

We've recently sent out some packages to schools around the world introducing our new class page. If you've received one of these packages we'd love for you to put a post about it on your class page so we can take that and share it with our students. You would have received a package that featured a combination of these pictures and information.Yes this really is the view from our school field of the beautiful Mount Taranaki from New Zealand.
Piri the Pukeko is our school mascot and he has a cricket bat and robot (we've competed in robotics nationally) in his bag, amongst other learning tools.
