3D Printing at Auroa Primary School

We've had some amazing feedback about some of our recent efforts with our new 3D Printers.  We've had our second most popular video of the year, Michael and Alyssa's Tilt Invention for the 3D Printer - this is second only to 'Barefeet in New Zealand'.  Tahana's portfolio of 3D Printing work is the first in a series and we have other students working to complete before the end of our school year.

We've also had some queries about how a 3D Printer works.  Today Michael and Lucas put together this video from our classroom which shows the 'layering' that the 3D Printer uses to create the build.  You can also see the filament and the spool at the end of this video.  Filmed at Auroa Priamry School, Taranaki, New Zealand on Friday 5th December 2014.

  1. Wow! How cool is that? Do you have just the one 3D printer at your school or is there more than one? When did you receive these printers? What do you hope to build next?

  2. Hi my name is Elena and I'm in Mr Millers class , wow this is cool. I wish we could have this 3D printer at my school. I've always wanted to learn how to 3D print. What do you hope to build next? When did you receive these printers?
