We've been collaborating with Mrs Kriese's class in Austin, Texas. We created a post which stated the knowledge about Texas that we knew, and they returned the favour today with a post about what they knew about New Zealand.
You can read the original post here.
We enjoyed reading this very
much in class this morning, even if some of the knowledge was not confirmed facts!
However what it is going to do is encourage us to collaborate and find out information relating others.
We were able to spend some time in the computer lab looking up facts about New Zealand. We found a cool website at Time for Kids (http://www.timeforkids.com/destination/new-zealand) that let us play audio of some New Zealand terms like jandals, greasies, oldies, lolly, ta, and sunnies. That was fun!
ReplyDeleteWe are looking forward to our Skype chat on Tuesday! We're pretty sure 3:30 pm our time is 8:30 your time, and we'll have the teachers contact each other to confirm that works. Mrs. Kriese will get a Skype user account by Monday so we'll be ready for Tuesday.
