#2014gbc Task: About Auroa/Taranaki

As part of our 'About Auroa School (and Taranaki) for the 2014 Global Blogging Challenge our students constructed Haiku Decks about our School, local community and our region. We were inspired by Mrs Kriese Classroom and their Haiku Deck about Austin, Texas. You can click on that link here. This Haiku Deck was created by Fletcher, Riley and Thomas from Room One.

  1. We enjoyed your Haiku Decks very much! How cool it is to see our own linked in your post, too. Thanks for the shout out :- )

The black sand was interesting to us, as our own Texas coastline has "regular" sand. We speculated that your sand is black because of how close you are to a volcano. We learned something else that was new to us: we didn't know there was such thing as a bird called a kiwi. We thought of that as only the name of a fruit.

    Thanks for sharing!
