R3 Q and A from France

Our friends from CM2 in Brindas, France have been helping again with our learning of French and finding out more about living in another country.  They've just produced an amazing video which features their students answering questions that were asked by the students in Mr Webbs French Class.  They have had students roaming their school searching for the answers...

You can click on the link to their amazing video and their fantastic school and class website by clicking on the link here.

  1. Hi Room 3,

Wow! It is great that you have this great connection with a school in France. What an amazing video. I am wondering what you all eat for breakfast and lunch at Auroa? Do you think that the bread in New Zealand is good?

Thank you for your comment about our video.
We all think here that we are so glad and so lucky to have met by the Net Mr Webb, the Students of Room Three and the other people from Auroa School ! I just wanted to tell how just absolutely wonderful they are ! Between Auroa and Brindas, it’s a collaboration steeped in fraternal exchanges in French and in English.
Longue vie à l’amitié qui nous relie d’un bout à l’autre de la Terre !

PS : I hope, one day, I’ll be eating the bread in New Zealand ; I bet it’s as good as the French one.

  7. Hi my name is Amity from Tamatea intermediate.

It's amazing how you could connect with a school in France. If I could ask kids from France a question it would be about

Gnocchi and i've heard of this before it is a type of pasta, but with a main added ingredient. What is that main ingredient?

    1. Hi, Amity !
Gnocchis are a mixture of wheat flour and potatoes poached in the water or a recipe with semolina of durum wheat. It’s an Italian dish, not French. It’s really good !
      Bon appétit !

Thank you for answering Amity question about Gnocchi - I was pretty sure that it wasn't French but I didn't actually know that it was Italian or the exact ingredients so thank you for sharing.

    2. On the first days of May, Samuel (a Student from Brindas School) met you in Auroa with his family. Those moments were certainly great and wonderful for this boy. We are looking forward the day when he get back to France, because it will be fascinating for us to hear him describe his experiences in New Zealand. He should be with us on Thursday, november 3rd. We hope that the school management will place him in our CM2. Maybe Salomé, his sister, will be in the classroom next door (one of the CE2). I’ll let you know...
