Digital Photography: Frost by Ebony

As we've moving towards the end of Winter here in New Zealand we've had some interesting weather. One day at school recently we had hail and a strong frost which provided an opportunity for our students to take their iPads and experiment with photography around school using 'Frost' as a theme. This is Ebony's work and you can click on the link to her blog here.

  1. Hi Ebony,

Gosh, that looked like a heavy frost. Well done on your video.

Here in the Northern Hemisphere in Ireland, the Summer is coming to an end. The Summer holidays from school are coming to an end too.

We expect to get frost and ice from November until perhaps February. There may even be snow.

We have a phrase here in Ireland, perhaps you have the same one in New Zealand. On some days we say 'There has been four seasons in one day'. That is because our weather is very changeable and some days it can be cold and frosty, with maybe some hail and then the sun comes out. The weather heats up and then it starts to rain. It is hard to know how to dress on days like that.

What is the climate like where you live? Is there often a hard frost like that where you live?

    With every good wish,
    Merry Beau
