R3 DPE@APS Fabric Tech

Every Friday Auroa School has DPE for the Y7/8 students. This is known as Technology at some schools. Our students have a range of activities that they are able to complete including Robotics, Cooking and Woodwork. The fourth technology is Sewing which our students are enjoying very much. This movie was created by Aroha and features what is happening with our students for Fabric Technology. Filmed at Auroa Primary School on Friday 3rd June 2016.

DPE at Auroa Primary School: Fabric Design

Y7 and Y8 students at Auroa Primary School on Fridays have an opportunity to take part in the Schools DPE Program. DPE stands for Design Production Education. The students have an opportunity to learn about Electronics, Food Technology, Robotics and Sewing on Fridays. We have small classes or ten students or so and at our school we have the facilities to run the programs, including our brand new kitchen. This footage of the Sewing DPE lesson was filmed on Friday 1st April by Aroha and Ashley from Room Three. They also fully edited and put together the iMovie.
